OPENING MAY 2024 –Featuring 16 Indoor Regulation-Size Courts; New Membership Program Pre-Sale Now Available–

AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 17, 2024) – The team behind the acclaimed Austin Pickle Ranch on West Sixth Street today announced the opening of their second pickleball facility, coming soon to North Austin. Formerly known as the Golfsmith property, the 50,000-square-foot facility will feature 16 regulation-sized indoor courts, making it one of the largest indoor pickleball facilities in Texas. The new location is slated to open in May.

“We are excited to introduce a brand-new, top-tier indoor pickleball facility to the dynamic North Austin community,” said Tim Klitch, founder and chief fun officer at Austin Pickle Ranch. “We understand there is a shortage of high-quality, easily accessible pickleball courts in the city, and our new facility will offer plenty of room for players of all levels, ensuring year-round enjoyment, especially when the Texas sun cranks up the heat.”

The Braker Lane location will feature state-of-the-art amenities, including 16 indoor pickleball courts and multiple indoor and outdoor lounge areas. Stay tuned for updates on food and beverage offerings on-site.

The new facility will also feature the first court certified by Johns Design & Consulting, an innovative firm founded by Austinites and spearheaded by globally acclaimed men’s doubles duo/brothers Ben and Collin Johns. “We are excited to work with the Austin Pickle Ranch as one of our first JDC-certified courts,” said Collin Johns. “Since moving to Austin, we have had a close working relationship with Klitch and the Austin Pickle Ranch team. He has watched as we built our careers in pickleball from the ground up, and it is now time for us to help him build his own. We have no doubt that the addition of a high-quality indoor venue with 16 courts will ensure Austin remains one of the premier pickleball cities in America.”

With the launch of the new facility, Austin Pickle Ranch also announced pre-sales for its new membership program tailored to pickleball enthusiasts of all levels. Membership options come in three tiers: Range Rider ($49), Wrangler ($99) and Trailboss ($149). Members will have access to free open play every day, discounted court bookings, complimentary pickleball clinics, personalized rating assessments and more. Membership access will start when the Braker Lane facility opens, but those who sign up now will enjoy member-only open play at three of the new indoor courts before the facility opens to the public. The first 100 people who sign up for each membership tier will have their initiation fee waived.

Similar to the downtown location, Austin Pickle Ranch on Braker Lane will be open to the public by reservation. For those who are looking to play pickleball but are not ready to commit to a monthly membership, the Braker Lane location will offer court bookings, lessons, open play and clinics.
